Hello and welcome to this weeks edition of the CrowdLeaf newsletter.

What a beautifully hot week it’s been, we hope you have all been safe but enjoyed your time in the sun! There has been plenty of talk of team work this week with the world cup taking over the screens, pubs and odd street. It seems timely to remember how much we can achieve together when we want to. As your here reading this we would assume you want to achieve a greener planet and community. So we call on you to share this newsletter or the stories fro it with at least one person this week. Education, debate and pressure are the key drivers of ideas, innovation and passions so please share.

Keep your eye on this space as we are planning to do another litter pick within the next few weeks and are looking for volunteers to join us  as we look to one up our last litter pick which was a great showing of people and a horribly large amount of litter.

This brilliant website gives tips and ideas about food waste and how to reduce it.

Love Food Hate Waste

Instead of throwing out or bagging up (to gather dust) all those clothes children quickly grow out of this is a brilliant website to buy or sell unwanted children clothes. It is run by a busy mum who also knows what it’s like with ever growing children and the endless amount of clothes children accumulate.

‘Last year a quarter of the clothing we got rid of was simply thrown away. That’s a staggering 300,000 tonnes that went into landfill. So many of those items could have been re-used and enjoyed by a another child, instead of contributing to the destruction of the planet.’
