This week we are looking at the importance of water.
With unusual seasonal patterns for 3 consecutive years due to climate change, the people of Cape Town are facing severe water shortages.
Lakes are drying up, the environment is struggling and peoples businesses are under threat due to the drought. It is only a matter of time before people’s health is affected if not already.
How much more of a wake up call to people need to face the effects climate change and see that it is really happening?
If you are interested to know the air quality around your area check out the Pollution Tracking Tools at the bottom of the newsletter.
There are some brilliant events coming up such as Moonlight Owl Prowl in Bordon, Greenpeace Meeting And Quiz – so come a long and put your knowledge to the test! Community litter picking and beach cleans are also coming up too.

Instead of throwing out or bagging up (to gather dust) all those clothes children quickly grow out of this is a brilliant website to buy or sell unwanted children clothes. It is run by a busy mum who also knows what it’s like with ever growing children and the endless amount of clothes children accumulate.
‘Last year a quarter of the clothing we got rid of was simply thrown away. That’s a staggering 300,000 tonnes that went into landfill. So many of those items could have been re-used and enjoyed by a another child, instead of contributing to the destruction of the planet.’
